I’m old enough to remember when NBA players debuting new shoes in the postseason was a major thing. With the proliferation of PEs and the releases for every holiday and seemingly any 24 hours that end in “day”, the breaking out of a new sneaker in the postseason has lost its significance.
Despite the act itself losing some of its luster doesn’t mean we will see new models unveiled in the playoffs. Such is the case for Kevin Durant, who officially unveiled the latest model in his signature series, the Nike KD 15, scoring 25 points and dishing out 11 assists in their 115-108 play-in win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
KD wore a black and white colorway that is just like the ones he had on in the initial images that surfaced of the 15.
